Perfecth

Perfecth is the ninth studio album by Queens of the Stone Age, out worldwide on Matador Records on 30 October 2026; Beat Records issues the Japanese edition the same day with Japanese liner notes and translated lyrics, as OLE2253CDJP. Josh Homme produced it with the band’s own bassist Michael Shuman, and the five-piece — Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore — is the line-up the label describes as having taken significant evolutionary steps as a collective. The sessions were tracked in a spread of places, everywhere from New Orleans to Los Angeles. It follows In Times New Roman… from 2023. The record is built on a way of thinking the band traces to kintsugi, the Japanese practice of mending broken pottery by filling the seams with gold: the point is not to return a broken thing to what it was but to make the damage itself into a new kind of beauty. The title comes out of the same idea. Homme has said the word "perfect" has never sat right with him, so he broke it and spelled it "perfecth" instead. The nine songs map different forms of love — of family, of friends, and of others both significant and insignificant. Two arrived ahead of the album: "Easy Street", featuring Nikki Lane, on 14 July 2026, and "Insignificant Other" on 25 August, the day the record was announced. The label calls the latter the album’s centrepiece and notes that the take used is the second of only two. Three Japanese shows follow the release, at Zepp Haneda on 25 November, Zepp Nagoya on the 26th and Zepp Namba on the 28th — the band’s first here in two years.
