Praying Mantis, counted among the pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, played The Bottom Line in Nagoya on 24 November 1993 while touring A Cry for the New World, and this two-disc live album is that night. Mark Thompson-Smith sings, the founding brothers Tino and Chris Troy play guitar and bass, former Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton is on guitar and Bruce Bisland on drums. In Japan, Marquee Inc. released it on 24 June 2026 as MICP-30230, two SHM-CDs carrying sixteen songs — ten on the first disc, six on the second — across about an hour and thirty-nine minutes. The listing opens with "A Cry for the New World", passes through "Cheated" and "Captured City", and ends with "Children of the Earth". The same concert fills discs one and two of The Official Bootleg Box Set Vol 1: Live in Japan, the four-CD box Cherry Red / HNE issued on 24 April 2026, while the band's return to the same stage five years later has its own Japanese release, The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1998.
