Kings of the Asylum is the third album by Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons — the band the long-serving Motörhead guitarist formed with three of his sons after Lemmy's death in 2015 brought Motörhead to an end, and whose first record, The Age of Absurdity, appeared in 2018.

Kings of the Asylum is the third album by Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons — the band the long-serving Motörhead guitarist formed with three of his sons after Lemmy's death in 2015 brought Motörhead to an end, and whose first record, The Age of Absurdity, appeared in 2018. Where 2020's We're the Bastards reached out to bluesy and stoner-tinged writing, this one goes back to flat-out speed, and the Motörhead in it is unmistakable: plain, hard, unornamented rock and roll from start to finish. The line-up is Phil Campbell and Todd Campbell on guitars, Dane Campbell on drums, Tyla Campbell on bass and Joel Peters singing. Nuclear Blast released it on 1 September 2023 and Ward Records' Japanese edition followed on 6 October as GQCS-91379, adding "Monster" as a bonus track along with a Japanese essay and translated lyrics.
