Muuntautuja is the sixth album by Oranssi Pazuzu, the Finnish psychedelic black metal band formed in 2007, and their first in four years. They debuted with Muukalainen Puhuu in 2009, continued with Kosmonument (2011) and Valonielu (2013), and drew wide critical praise with Värähtelijä in 2016 — a record James Hetfield of Metallica added to his own playlist. Their 2020 album Mestarin Kynsi also received a Japanese release. Singer Jun-His came out of experimental rock and turned to black metal after seeing Emperor play live, which is audible in music that draws on krautrock and electronics and never sits comfortably inside the genre. Nuclear Blast released it worldwide on 11 October 2024 and Ward Records issued the Japanese edition, GQCS-91519, the same day. The CD runs to seven tracks.
