Hanged's Fate

The debut album by New Sun, a four-piece from Padua and the province of Venice. It began when guitarist Lorenzo "Mr. Gore" Toffano gathered players through a musicians' social network; the first line-up included keyboards and was narrowed to the present four, drawn from thrash, folk metal, glam rock and groove metal. The Japanese label's biography puts death and groove metal underneath, with melodic, black, thrash, nu-metal and funk above. The line-up is Alexandre "Growler" Piccoli on vocals, Toffano on guitar, Mattia "Basserker" Zanella on bass and Mattia "Banz" Banzato on drums; the vocals here are by original member Marco Munari, as the Japanese label state. The label describe a descent from collapsing control into self-awareness, with the closing "Drag Me Down" carrying that arc. The signing was announced on 16 June 2026, the album released on 7 August 2026, preceded on 10 July by a lyric video for "Creating My Empire" by Ghostalien Services. WormHoleDeath Japan issue it here on 30 September 2026 as a direct import with Japanese packaging (BITX-1482), in the same order. There is no title track; the longest piece is the eight-minute "New Sun". Six songs, about 38 minutes.
