In the Twilight Grey is the tenth album by Necrophobic, the Swedish death and black metal band formed in Stockholm in 1989, and their first in four years since Dawn Of The Damned. Members have come and gone and crossed paths with Unleashed, Dismember, Grave, Dark Funeral and Naglfar over three decades without the band ever stopping, and what it does has not changed either: pitch-black and aggressive, with melodies that stay lyrical underneath. The line-up is Anders Strokirk on vocals, Sebastian Ramstedt on lead guitar, Johan Bergebäck on rhythm guitar, Tobias Cristiansson on bass and Joakim Sterner on drums, and Fredrik Folkare of Unleashed produced, mixed and mastered it as he did the last one. Century Media released it on 15 March 2024 and DIW on METAL issued the Japanese edition, DYMC6093, on 10 April, slotting two extra songs into the running order rather than appending them — "Blackened the Horizon" and a cover of Frank Zappa's "The Torture Never Stops". Twelve tracks, about an hour and three minutes.
