Mystic Circle's Hexenbrand 1486 came out on 31 October 2025 through ROAR, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music, and Ward Records released it in Japan the same day (GQCS-91687) with Japanese liner notes and translated lyrics; the ten tracks last about 47 minutes. It largely concerns the Malleus Maleficarum, the witch-hunters' manual written in Speyer in 1486, and A. Blackwar says the later part of the record turns to its author, Heinrich "Institoris" Kramer. Former Cradle Of Filth singer Sarah Jezebel Deva and a singer from Umbra Et Imago are the guest voices, ROAR's CD booklet includes a comic from Natalie Ostermaier's book Kramer, and the band produced it with Nils Lesser. ROAR, which counts it as the tenth Mystic Circle album, also mentions synth-wave passages recalling Dario Argento's horror scores. Founders Beelzebub and A. Blackwar revived the German band in 2021, and this follows 2022's Mystic Circle and 2023's Erzdämon. Reigning Phoenix Music has posted two music videos and a lyric video, and "Boogeyman" is on the DMG channel.
