Darkness Invisible

Reigning Phoenix Music released Darkness Invisible on 26 September 2025, two days after Marquee Inc. had already issued the Japanese CD, MICP-11983, eleven songs in about 49 minutes. The Finnish band formed in 1999 and debuted with Inhumanity in 2003. According to the Japanese label, Andy Gillion, who had joined in 2011 on guitar and bass and had taken the lead in writing, left after the previous album Seven, and early members came back in his place: Jori Haukio, the main songwriter of the band's early years and the writer of almost everything here, fellow original members Jarkko Kokko on guitar and Teemu Heinola on bass, and Marko Tommila on drums, who had played on the third album and on Seven, all returning alongside original singer Ville Viljanen. Mors Principium Est have toured Japan twice, in 2013 and 2018. JP Kaukonen directed the video for "Summoning The Dark" deep in old Finnish woodland; Haukio calls it a journey to a summoning past the point of no return, a fantasy-horror story told inside modern production.
