Lost Horizon

Molly Hatchet made this record in Studio 2 at Abbey Road in London, the room the Beatles used — with, Bobby Ingram says, the same microphones they had stood in front of sixty years before. Chris Bolster engineered the sessions, and all twelve of the album's songs came out of them. Ingram plays lead, slide and acoustic guitar in a five-piece completed by two long-standing members, John Galvin on keyboards and Hammond B3 and Tim Lindsey on bass, who also sing behind the lead, and by two arrivals: singer Parker Lee, from the Dixie District of Charlotte, North Carolina, and drummer Garrett Ramsden, from the Detroit area. Ingram credits Ramsden with freshening the band's playing, and hears a young Danny Joe Brown, Molly Hatchet's first singer, in Lee. Nothing has followed Justice since 2010, which makes this the band's first studio album in sixteen years. Steamhammer, the SPV label, issues it worldwide on 27 November 2026, a date Apple Music gives in its Japanese storefront as well as its US one. The CD is a digipak with a poster (886922483028); the 2LP is a gatefold on 140g black vinyl with padded inner sleeves and two coloured inserts (886922483011), and it reorders the middle of the record, placing "The Answer" before "Lost Horizon" instead of after it. A coloured-vinyl LP and the shirt bundles go through the label's own shop and nowhere else. The album opens with "Firing Line (Enhanced Version)", a reworking of a song the band put out on its own in November 2023. "Dixie Highway" came first, on 28 August 2026, and its lyric video sits on Steamhammer's YouTube channel. The southern rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1971.
