Songs of White Lion, Vol. II is the second volume in which Mike Tramp re-records the songs of White Lion in the voice he has now. The band, built around Tramp and the guitarist Vito Bratta, debuted with Fight to Survive in 1985 and became stars with Pride, whose singles "Wait", "Tell Me" and "When the Children Cry" were hits; Big Game produced "Little Fighter" and "Cry for Freedom", and the band broke up in 1991 after Mane Attraction. Bratta left the music business afterwards while Tramp carried on through Freak of Nature and as a solo artist, and after a legal dispute over the use of the name he now performs as White Lion. The first volume, released in 2023, was well received, and this one collects what it could not fit. Frontiers Records released it on 23 August 2024 and Marquee issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11896, the same day with a classical orchestra version of "Little Fighter" added — eleven tracks, about 49 minutes.
