Proving Grounds Devastation is the first album by Mass Punishment, four musicians from the United States playing heavy metal at its most extreme. It was released on 11 October 2024, and WormHoleDeath Japan issued it here on 30 June 2025 as a direct import with Japanese specification, BITX-1380. Brutal growled vocals and hard-edged riffing drive seventeen tracks of relentless aggression. Titles run from "300 Miles to Baghdad" through "The Infantryman's Creed", "Line of Departure", "The Extraction (Warzone)" and "Welcome Home", tracing something like a tour of duty and a return from it, with three earlier singles — "Worldwide Genocide", "Breaking Point" and "God Less America" — closing the record. "Ground Pounder" has a music video, and the band call the clip for "Enemy Within" their first properly shot one.
