LINER NOTES
AETHER CROSS is the second full-length album by the Japanese metal band Mana Diagram, and the first they made as a trio. Singer UYU, guitarist Mint and drummer Koki carried on as three when guitarist Mayto. and bassist Yusuke left in September 2025, and on the 25th of that month, the day of the five-piece's final gig, they announced a deal with AVALON, the label of Marquee Inc. Marquee issued the CD on 30 September 2026 as MICL-20016, nine tracks in about 35 minutes, and its release notes present the record as heavy metal true to the classic tradition with present-day weight. UYU wrote every lyric, Koki and Mint share the composing, and Mint arranged the whole album, which opens with the 77-second "Prologue" and places a second short piece, the 65-second "- Found You -", at track seven. Three songs reached streaming services first as singles, "Re : The Road less traveled" (September 2025), "Make it Reach you." (March 2026) and "Bullet of Fate" (April 2026); their credits name Ollie Bernstein of ILLUSION FORCE as recording bassist and Yoichiro Ishino of Crunch Studio as recording, mixing and mastering engineer. The band began on 13 October 2023 and released its earlier music under its own name, from the single "Glitter wind" in December 2023 through the EP LIGHT OF THE DESTINY to the album MOONLIGHT DESIRE in December 2024.
