The Offering is the seventh album by Lords of the Trident, a band from Madison, Wisconsin who have been going since 2008. Their power metal is traditional at heart, with the classic and modern progressive ends of the genre pulled into it, and they play it in full armour, as warriors, with a fantasy world and a line in self-mocking humour running side by side. Junko Johnson Records issued it on 1 April 2022; IYT Records brought it out in Japan on 4 December 2024 as IYT-105, timed to the Japanese tour that began that month, with the same thirteen tracks as the import. The band made official videos for "Acolyte", "Charlatan", "Feed The Wolves" and for the pair "The Invitation" / "Dance of Control", which run together on the record.
