Mechanics of Predacity is the sixth album by Lords of Black, the power metal band led by the Spanish guitarist Tony Hernando. The line-up is the one of recent years — Ronnie Romero on vocals, his partner in this since the beginning, with Dani Criado on bass and Jo Nunez on drums — and Roland Grapow, formerly of Helloween and involved with the band since its early records, mixed and mastered it. It is not a concept album, but every song ties back to the idea in the title: that the whole history of the species, from humble animals and tribes to the present day, is what taking from others has added up to. Hernando says these are the most powerful and the most varied songs the band has. Marquee Inc. issued the Japanese edition on 15 March 2024. Eleven tracks, about an hour and five minutes.
