Myths of Fate is the ninth album by Leaves' Eyes, three and a half years after the last, from a band with twenty years behind it and Germany as its base. Their basic shape puts a woman's soprano beside a man's growl and spreads symphonic, gothic sound behind the two of them, so the contrast between grace and ferocity is the music itself. The Viking story they had been telling across several records finished with the previous one, and this album takes Norse mythology as its new subject. "Forged by Fire", released ahead of it, packs everything the band has built into one song by way of introduction. Their reading of Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever" is here too. Marquee Inc. issued the Japanese edition on 20 March 2024. Eleven tracks, about fifty minutes.
