Wide Open Sky is the third Landfall album, and the Brazilian band have not moved far from what they set out to do: catchy, heavy melodic hard rock with Journey, Dokken, White Lion and Extreme somewhere behind it. They worked as Wild Child until 2017, when singer Gui Oliver joined and the name changed; a deal with Frontiers Records followed, then The Turning Point in 2020 and Elevate in 2022. Oliver says the songs here define the band both vocally and in the playing. Frontiers released it on 17 January 2025 and Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91560) on 31 January, with a commentary booklet, translated lyrics and an acoustic reading of the title track that appears on no other pressing. Three songs have official videos and a fourth a visualizer.
