LINER NOTES
Sleepless Empire is Lacuna Coil's tenth studio album, and it reached Japanese shops two days before it reached anyone else's: Marquee Incorporated issued the CD (MICP-11932) on 12 February 2025, and Century Media released the album on 14 February. Andrea Ferro and Cristina Scabbia trade and overlap across eleven tracks and about forty-seven minutes; Randy Blythe of Lamb of God guests on "Hosting the Shadow" and Ash Costello of New Years Day on "In The Mean Time". The band describe the record as a portrait of a generation trapped in a digital world that never stops, losing itself to social media and trying to win itself back. Seven songs have official videos: music videos for "Oxygen", "Gravity", "I Wish You Were Dead" and "In The Mean Time", a video for "Hosting the Shadow", and lyric videos for "In Nomine Patris" and "Never Dawn".
