Rise Above It All

Rise Above It All is a fourteen-song melodic hard rock album by Jorge Canan, a singer from New Jersey, issued by Eonian Records on 10 July 2026 and released in Japan on 30 October 2026 as a direct import with Japanese packaging. Canan sang in RAZE during the 1980s before joining TOY CANNON alongside guitarist Mark Christopher, bassist Bobby August and drummer Michael Aldi. The label recounts that a TOY CANNON demo won a November 1990 band contest run by the New York radio station Z-100, and that the prize was an opening slot for POISON at the Academy Theatre in New York, the band's first live show. Their recordings then sat unreleased for decades until Eonian put them out in 2022 as Forever One. Canan spent many years away from music before this record. On his own channel he calls it his Christian rock debut and describes the songs as being about struggle, redemption, endurance and victory through Christ. The label states that seven studio musicians back him, but has not named them. An official music video for Second Chance At Sunrise appeared ahead of release, and the title track and Breaking Chains went up on his channel before the album arrived. Fourteen songs.
