Moon Healer is the new album by Job for a Cowboy, the American progressive death metal band, and their first in ten years since Sun Eater in 2014. When the singer Jonny Davy and the others got together in 2003 they were fifteen and sixteen years old, and they still landed a deal with Metal Blade, debuted with Genesis in 2007 and took that ferocious death metal record to number 54 on the Billboard chart. From Ruination in 2009 they turned towards the technical and the progressive and widened their audience as they went. Davy describes this one as every bit as intense as before but more consistent and more conceptual, made with the greatest enthusiasm and confidence they have had. Ten years of stored-up invention comes out of it, brutal and technical at once. Ward Records issued the Japanese edition on 23 February 2024. Eight tracks, about thirty-nine minutes.
