Japan got Jinjer's Duél first: Marquee Avalon put the CD (MICP-11920) in shops on 5 February 2025 as a pressing timed to the band's tour here, two days before Napalm Records released the album everywhere else. The Ukrainian progressive metalcore band fill it well, and across these eleven tracks and forty-three minutes Tatiana Shmayluk switches between growls and clean singing inside a single bar while the riffing stays dense and off-kilter — "Tantrum" opens at full tilt, "Kafka" and "Someone's Daughter" pull the other way. The tour that followed the release was their first run of Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka dates in six years. Five songs have official videos, and the Japanese edition adds a commentary booklet and translated lyrics.
