LINER NOTES
George Perks produced Voices Unheard at Vada Studios in Warwickshire in September 2025, and it is the first album by JAYLER, a four-piece from the West Midlands of England: James Bartholomew on vocals and guitar, Tyler Arrowsmith on guitar, Ricky Hodgkiss on bass and keyboards and Ed Evans on drums. All four share the writing credit on its eleven songs. "Alectrona" is named after the Greek goddess of the sun, and "Lovemaker", a single in 2024, was recorded afresh for the album.
Bartholomew and Arrowsmith first met at an open-mic night in Tamworth and have played as JAYLER since around 2022, putting out a self-released EP, A Piece in Our Time, at the end of 2023 before Silver Lining Music signed them early in 2026. The label released the album on 29 May 2026 on CD, twelve-inch vinyl and download, and says it climbed to number two on the UK Independent Album Breakers chart and number three on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart.
The band have played Monsters of Rock Brazil and supported Lynyrd Skynyrd and Sammy Hagar, and were named special guests on a 37-date Deep Purple arena tour. "Down Below", "Need Your Love" and "Hate to See it End" all had videos before the release, and "The Getaway", shot at Cotswold Airport, followed in September 2026. King Records' Japanese edition (KICP-4132), dated 25 November 2026, has one bonus track.
