Ash of Eternal Flame is the sixth album by Innerwish, the Greek power metal band formed in 1995, and their first in eight years. They debuted with Waiting for the Dawn in 1998 and built a following among power metal listeners with Silent Faces (2004) and Inner Strength (2006); Fredrik Nordström engineered No Turning Back (2010) and Innerwish (2016), both of which leaned heavily on choirs. This one is dramatic power metal rooted in traditional heavy metal, mixed by Henrik Udd, whose credits include HammerFall and Firewind. Hansi Kürsch of Blind Guardian guests on Sea of Lies. Ward Records released the Japanese edition, GQCS-91535, on 8 November 2024, the same day as the rest of the world. Twelve tracks, closing with a cover of Send Me an Angel by Blackfoot.
