Heaven Wept is the seventh full-length album from Inferi and their first in about five years. Official music videos for "The Rapture of Dead Light", "Heaven Wept" and "Godless Sky" led up to its release on 10 April 2026 through The Artisan Era, the label run by bandleader Malcolm Pugh. Line-up changes left Pugh playing bass on the record himself, and a guitarist from labelmates Equipoise has joined the Nashville technical and melodic death metal band. Disk Union's Japanese version, a direct import with a Japanese obi and a slipcase (AE792OBI), arrived on 15 May 2026 with the album's eight songs.
