Ian Parry — a Liverpool-born singer who moved to the Netherlands in the early 1980s and made his name across the Dutch metal scene with Hammerhead, Vengeance and Elegy — started Ian Parry's Consortium Project in 1999, gathering friends and colleagues in the spirit of Ayreon, the project his Vengeance bandmate Arjen Anthony Lucassen had launched.

Ian Parry — a Liverpool-born singer who moved to the Netherlands in the early 1980s and made his name across the Dutch metal scene with Hammerhead, Vengeance and Elegy — started Ian Parry's Consortium Project in 1999, gathering friends and colleagues in the spirit of Ayreon, the project his Vengeance bandmate Arjen Anthony Lucassen had launched. A quarter of a century and several labels later, the project has signed to Frontiers Music and releases this sixth album on 28 August 2026, declared its closing chapter; it also marks Parry's forty-fifth year as a professional singer-songwriter. The cast includes Vanden Plas guitarist Stephan Lill, guitarist Patrick Rondat, Pretty Maids drummer Allan Sørensen, former Pain of Salvation bassist Kristoffer Gildenlöw, Casey Grillo (ex-Kamelot, now Queensrÿche) on drums and members of Timeless Fairytale, joined for the first time by Asylum Pyre's Johan Cadeau on guitar and keyboards and Royal Hunt's Andreas Passmark on bass. The music video for the title track "Legacy Of Empires" is out now.
