Kaosmogonia is the third album by Hypersonic, an Italian power metal band formed in 2006, and their first in eight years. They debuted with Fallen Melodies in 2011 and released Existentia in 2016 before a long silence, returning after signing to their countrymen Rockshots Records. Eleonora Russo joined as singer, sharing the vocals with drummer Salvo Grasso, and the record sets lyrics drawn from Greek philosophy against symphonic orchestration shot through with death metal. Mark Jansen of Epica and Francesco Paoli of Fleshgod Apocalypse guest on it. Rockshots released it internationally on 12 April 2024 and Ward Records issued the Japanese edition on 8 November as GQCS-91528. Where the international CD closes with an orchestral version of Mother Earth as its bonus, the Japanese pressing instead carries two of its own: Rebirth (Revisited), and Prayer in the Dark, taken from the 2018 audition tape that brought Russo into the band.
