ReHydration is the second album by Hydra, the Swedish band that began as an idea of Henrik Hedström, a songwriter long at work in Stockholm. Daniel Flores, a drummer and producer and a friend of fifteen years, plays drums and keyboards, Andi Kravljaca sings and plays guitar, and Jonny Trobro plays bass. Hedström had a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell writing pop songs for other artists, ended it because it was not what he wanted to do, and sent demos to Flores; they reached Frontiers Records, and in 2019 his song "A Million Miles" appeared on a First Signal album. The music here is melodic rock with a wistful, clear-toned cast to it — twelve tracks, about 58 minutes. Marquee released the Japanese edition first, MICP-11906, on 28 August 2024 with one bonus track, and Pride & Joy Music issued the international edition on 20 September 2024.
