LINER NOTES
Perfect World is the second studio album by HumanKind, the German metalcore band that began as a five-piece in 2022 and released its debut, An End, Once and for All, a year later. Christoph Wieczorek of Annisokay again produced, mixed and mastered, and he also guests on the title track. Singer Samuel Scholz, guitarist Maria Kimberly Huehn and the band's bassist remain from the debut, with Simon Keil now on guitar and Silas Schue on drums.
Ward Records presents it as picking up the debut's theme and turning it to the question of humanity itself. Eight of the ten songs reached listeners first as singles, from "Fed Up" in December 2024 to "Drain Me" in September 2026, and "Fed Up", "The Darkness I Own" and "Desire To Die" have music videos. Track five is a cover of Billie Eilish's "lovely" with Nastassja Giulia, the singer of Enemy Inside, and a piano version of "The Darkness I Own" closes the record. Ward Records' Japanese edition (GQCS-91802), with Japanese liner notes and lyric translations, carries the worldwide release date of 4 December 2026.
