Cherry Red's Holocaust Complete Recordings move on to the band's later years with this second volume, five CDs in a clamshell box covering the albums the Scottish NWOBHM band made between 1989 and 2003, following the six-disc Heavy Metal Mania set of 1980-1984 material. HNE issued it on 24 April 2026 as HNE5BOX186, and the Japanese edition with obi, CDSOL-72560, followed on 2 May. John Mortimer's band had debuted with the single "Heavy Metal Mania" in 1980, and Metallica covered their "The Small Hours" in 1987 on The $5.98 E.P. - Garage Days Re-Revisited. The box opens with The Sound Of Souls (1989), which arrived five years after No Man's Land and moved towards technical thrash inspired by bands such as Voivod, then runs through Spirits Fly, the 1996 expanded reissue of 1992's Hypnosis Of Birds, 1997's Covenant, the more personal The Courage To Be (2000) and the progressive thrash of Primal (2003), 54 tracks in all.
