Cometh the Storm is the ninth album by High On Fire, the Oakland sludge and heavy metal band led by Matt Pike of Sleep, and their first in five and a half years since Electric Messiah. It is also the first made after Des Kensel, their drummer from the start, left: Coady Willis, known from the Melvins and Big Business, plays on it. The thick, distorted riffing the band is built on is untouched, but the range is wider than before — the fifth song, "Karanlık Yol", brings in the Turkish saz. MNRK Heavy released it on 19 April 2024 and it circulates in Japan as an import. Eleven tracks, about fifty-eight minutes.
