LINER NOTES
HIDEN, the self-titled debut of a band of Japanese and Australian musicians, grew out of a side project in which Rocky Ravić of Mystery and Brendan Farrugia traded ideas for fun. Their demos caught the interest of three musicians Ravić got to know on Mystery's 2024 "Mind Pollution" tour of Japan: singer Naoki Hashimoto of Outrage, met at the Mountain Top Jam in Fuji City, drummer HIMAWARI of Dustar-3, formerly of Sex Machineguns, met at the first Sleaze Fest at Kichijoji Crescendo, and guitarist Nuco Blackmarket of Black Market, a friend who had promoted shows with him. Ravić plays guitar and bass and sings, Farrugia plays guitar and bass, and the five toured Japan twice in 2025.
The eight songs were recorded at several studios in Japan and at the Live Life Loud Records studio in Australia, produced by Ravić and mixed and mastered by Alex Vaulin. Four had videos before the album: "Take To The Streets" and "Tagonmuyo" in April 2025, "Blood Of The Martyr" in July 2025 and "Revolt" in October 2026. Rubicon Music's Japanese CD (RBNCD-1483) has a release date of 11 November 2026, two days after Live Life Loud Records' worldwide digital release of 9 November, and launch shows were booked at Tightrope in Nagoya on 13 November and Kichijoji Crescendo in Tokyo on 15 November 2026, during Mystery's tour of Japan.
