LINER NOTES
Seven HESSIAN songs, each with concepts and visualizers by the project's founder, Laremy Wade, plus one clip apiece by DROMÓ and HTKY, two bands on Wade's own Southern Soundclash Records & Distro: that is Molten Rites 2025, the first DVD from the Atlanta black and death metal project.
According to Wormholedeath, HESSIAN goes back to recordings made in 2002 as Madame Durant; it was Utuk Xul Commands Worship from 2004, went through a hardcore street punk phase in 2014 and has been HESSIAN since 2016. It started out as an instrumental duo taking its lead from 1990s black and death metal, naming Emperor, Mayhem, Sarcófago, Immortal and Masacre, and released a self-titled EP, Hessian, in 2025.
Southern Soundclash issued the DVD on 23 January 2026 (SSC100), together with a soundtrack CD. WormHoleDeath Japan's direct import with Japanese packaging (BITV1) is dated 30 November 2026, as is the second volume, Molten Rites 2026.
