Devoured by the Mouth of Hell is the first full-length album by Heriot, the English band fronted by Debbie Gough, who have been watched as the next thing in extreme music since the single "Cleansed Existence" in 2020. The EP Profound Morality brought them a wide audience and tours with Architects and Sleep Token followed. They take what they draw from Napalm Death, Lamb of God, Korn, Deftones and Converge and turn it into something of their own, and they treat the visual side as part of the work rather than decoration; the album keeps that dense, close-pressed feeling throughout. Jake Packer and Josh Middleton produced it and Will Putney mixed and mastered it — ten tracks, about 34 minutes. Century Media released it on 27 September 2024, two days after Marquee's Japanese edition, MICP-11918. Videos exist for "Siege Lord", "Foul Void", "At The Fortress Gate" and "Opaline".
