Hellbutcher is the debut album by the band Hellbutcher, formed by the singer of the same name who fronted the Swedish black metal band Nifelheim. Nifelheim played their last show at the end of 2022, and he wasted no time afterwards: keeping real metal standing, he says, was going to take a band of his own, and the thought of it had him fired up. Old allies in evil filled out the line-up. What came of it is eight songs of fast, filthy black and thrash metal that carry the malice of the 1980s over intact. Metal Blade Records released it on 31 May 2024 and it circulates in Japan as an import. Eight tracks, about thirty-three minutes.
