Heimat is the tenth Heaven Shall Burn album and the German metalcore band's first in about five years. Century Media released it on 27 June 2025 and Marquee issued the Japanese edition, MICP-90130, on 23 July — two discs with notes and translated lyrics, thirteen songs on the first and four more on the second, among them "Keinen Schritt zurück" with Donots. The Japanese label says the record took years to make at The Dude Ranch, the band's own studio run by guitarist Alexander Dietz, with Tue Madsen mixing and mastering in Denmark as he has before and Eliran Kantor, from Thuringia, supplying the artwork. Heimat is German for home, and the other guitarist, Maik Weichert, describes the album as being about what home is to different people and about the mental home that shapes how we think and act. The tenth song, "Numbered Days", is a Killswitch Engage song, played here with that band's Jesse Leach.
