Bone Collector is the first Grave Digger album in three years, out worldwide on 17 January 2025 through ROAR. The German band formed in 1980 and debuted on Noise Records in 1984 with Heavy Metal Breakdown; they became Digger for a while, broke up in 1987, passed through Hawaii and took the old name back in 1991, then settled their standing in Europe with the run of medieval-themed records that begins with Tunes of War and its Scottish wars of independence. Japan first saw them in 1996. Where the recent albums had each been built on a concept, this one has none, and singer Chris Boltendahl describes it as the band returning to what they actually are. Boltendahl sings, with Tobias Kersting on guitar, Jens Becker on bass and Marcus Kniep on drums. Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91545) with a commentary booklet, translated lyrics and a remix of "The Grave Is Yours" found only on this pressing. Four songs have videos of one kind or another.
