Gotus is the self-titled debut by Gotus, a Swiss hard rock band that began when Mandy Meyer -- guitarist of Gotthard and Unisonic -- and Patrick Aeby, formerly of Krokus, set out to make new music together. At first they worked as a live band, playing songs Meyer had written with Dino Jelusick singing; then they rethought it and went into the album with Ronnie Romero, who has fronted Rainbow, MSG and Elegant Weapons. Two songs come from bands Meyer has passed through: Katmandu's "When the Rain Comes" and "Reason to Live" from Gotthard's Homerun, re-recorded by this line-up. The Japanese edition adds an acoustic version of "Children of the Night". Marquee Inc. released it on 24 January 2024. Twelve tracks, about fifty-six minutes.
