Nine years after his previous solo album, Glenn Hughes released Chosen through Frontiers Records on 5 September 2025, with Ward Records putting out the Japanese CD the same day as GQCS-91660.

Nine years after his previous solo album, Glenn Hughes released Chosen through Frontiers Records on 5 September 2025, with Ward Records putting out the Japanese CD the same day as GQCS-91660. The Japanese edition adds an acoustic version of "Come And Go" to the ten songs of the international release, eleven tracks in about 55 minutes. Hughes sings and plays bass alongside Søren Andersen on guitar, Ash Sheehan on drums and Bob Fridzema on keyboards. He writes songs and makes records when he has something to say, he tells his Japanese label, which describes the album as turning on what it is to be human and on love, hope and faith. Frontiers Music srl has posted a video for the title track, a lyric video for "Voice In My Head" and visualizers for "Into The Fade" and "My Alibi". Hughes sang and played on Deep Purple's Burn and Stormbringer and has more recently worked with The Dead Daisies and Black Country Communion.
