Finnish power metal and melodic death metal band Gladenfold released Soulbound, their fourth album, through Reaper Entertainment on 27 February 2026, the same day Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91721) with translated lyrics and Japanese liner notes.

Finnish power metal and melodic death metal band Gladenfold released Soulbound, their fourth album, through Reaper Entertainment on 27 February 2026, the same day Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91721) with translated lyrics and Japanese liner notes. Formed in 2003, the band debuted with From Dusk to Eternity in 2014 before signing to Reaper for When Gods Descend (2019) and Nemesis (2021). Reaper presents Soulbound as a concept album and the band's most power metal-oriented to date, and it put out a video for "Ghostlike" to coincide with the release, describing the song as the record's centrepiece and a nod to the band's favourite power metal albums of the early 2000s. Singer Esko Itälä wrote the music and lyrics of the mid-tempo "Wardens Of Time" and shares "Mercy" with guest vocalist Micha. Music videos were also made for "For My Queen", "Mercy" and "Wardens Of Time".
