Bats is the seventh album by Gama Bomb, the Irish crossover thrash band, and their first in about three years. It plays the thrash sound they have spent more than twenty years sharpening since their debut, straight: something of the traditional heft of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, a punk attitude out of Bad Brains, and the mark of Tankard and Sodom. The Egyptian Lover guests on "Egyptron". The Japanese edition adds four bonus tracks -- "Thunder over London", "Reveal the Shrieking Skulls" and covers of Dio's "Shut Up and Shout" and the Pogues' "If I Should Fall From Grace With God". Spiritual Beast released it on 15 November 2023 as IUCP-16365. Fifteen tracks, about forty-eight minutes.
