Death Becomes Her is the Frantic Amber album that ended a six-year gap, released by ROAR, the Reigning Phoenix Music imprint, with Ward Records issuing the Japanese CD (GQCS-91582) on 4 April 2025 with translated lyrics and a commentary booklet. The Swedish band is made up entirely of women: it began in 2008 as a project by guitarist Mary Siebecke and became a working group in 2010, when singer Elizabeth Andrews and Japanese guitarist Mio Jäger joined. Burning Insight followed in 2015 and Bellatrix in 2019. Andrews, Jäger, bassist Madeleine Grubberg Husberg and drummer Laura Hernandez play eleven tracks here, framed by the opening "El Orfanato" and the closing "Epitaphium", with thrash, black metal and symphonic touches worked into the melodic death metal. Three songs — "Black Widow", "Hell's Belle" and "Jolly Jane" — have official videos.
