Manimal is the first full-length Fenyx Rising album and it was pressed to CD in Japan before anywhere else. The band was put together around three musicians from the Finnish melodic death metal group Kalmah — drummer Janne Kusmin, bassist Timo Lehtinen and touring guitarist Harri Hytönen — and what they play here is nothing like that: straight 1980s-shaped heavy metal with the hooks left in the open. The record collects the songs the band had already released digitally, adds four written for it, and closes with "ENDLESS RAIN" as a Japanese bonus track, ten tracks in thirty-nine minutes. King Records issued it on 12 February 2025 (KICP-4090) with a commentary booklet and translated lyrics. "Manimal" and "Never Say Die" have official music videos.
