Video is the third album by Fans of the Dark, the Swedish melodic rock band Alex Falk formed in 2020, and the first of theirs to get a Japanese release. The idea from the start was to put the durable melodies of melodic rock together with 1980s hard rock and heavy metal, an approach carried through Fans of the Dark (2021) and Suburbia (2022), neither of which was issued here. This record continues it, mixed and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio. The sleeve shows a video-rental store, matching the album title. Frontiers Records released it worldwide on 11 October 2024; Marquee Inc. issued the Japanese edition, MICP-11879, the same day, adding an alternative version of Christine as a Japan-only bonus track for eleven tracks in all.
