The Story Remains is Fairyland's return, released worldwide on 13 June 2025 through Frontiers Records, with Marquee Inc. issuing the Japanese edition as MICP-11952 on the same date with liner notes, translated lyrics and one bonus track. The French band formed in Nice in 1998 around Philippe Giordana and Willdric Lievin, took their present name after meeting Elisa C. Martín during sessions in 2002, made their reputation touring with Sonata Arctica, and broke up in 2006. When Giordana died in 2022 Lievin carried on what the two had built, adding Archie in 2023 and Gideon, Briuc and JB in 2024. Fourteen tracks stack orchestration, storytelling and hard-fought playing; Martín guests on "Suffering Ages", and the Japanese pressing adds an acoustic version of "A New Dawn".
