The Horror and the Metal is the sixth album by F.K.Ü., and their first in about six years, from a band raised on 1980s horror films and on S.O.D. The seed was planted as early as 1987 and it took another decade before they turned it into music. They began playing this at the end of the 1990s, when it was about the least fashionable thing a band could do, and they have never once followed the scene since — the closing line of the title song says the whole of it. The lyrics and the look come out of 80s horror cinema, and the crossover sound they inherited from Bay Area thrash is built to set a pit alight. The Japanese edition adds "Body Hammer". Spiritual Beast issued it on 9 February 2024. Eleven tracks, about thirty-eight minutes.
