Scarlet Records released Mournbraid on 20 March 2026, and Ward Records' ten-track Japanese CD (GQCS-91741) followed on 10 April. It is the third album from Swedish melodic power metal band Evermore, after Court of the Tyrant King and 2023's In Memoriam. The first single, "The Illusionist (Raise The Curtain)", which has a lyric video, likens a manipulator to a fading stage magician whose audience slowly sees through the act, while "Underdark", the third single and the subject of an official video, deals with isolation and depression. Johan Karlsson handles guitar, bass, piano and orchestration alongside the band's singer and drummer; the album was recorded at MWC Studios, Marcus "Mackan" Alfsson produced and mixed it, and Svante of Chartmakers West mastered it.
