Venom is the third Enemy Inside album and their first for Reigning Phoenix Music. The German band formed in 2017 around the singer Nastassja Julia, debuted with Phoenix the following year, released Seven in 2021 and spent the years after that on European festival stages including Wacken Open Air. Symphonic arrangement, electronics and rapped passages all turn up inside the same eleven tracks, and the vocals swing from full-throated melody to something closer to a snarl; "Sayonara", the third song, comes out of what Japanese culture meant to the band. Three guests each take a song: Zak Tell of Clawfinger on "Fuck That Party", Mirza Radonjica on "Dirt On My Name" and Davey Suicide on "I'd Rather Be Dead". Thirty-five minutes in all. Ward Records issued the Japanese CD (GQCS-91557) on 28 February 2025, the worldwide release date, with a commentary booklet and translated lyrics. Six songs have official music videos.
