XI is the fifth album by Elegy of Madness, an Italian symphonic metal band. They formed in 2006 and debuted with The Bridge of Sighs in 2009, writing symphonic and at times ethnic music around a female voice. Anja Irullo, their singer for many years, left in 2022; with her successor Kyrah Aylin the band signed to Scarlet Records in Italy, and this is the result. An occult streak has always been their mark, and here the title is the point: every song is built on the number eleven. Francesco Ferrini of Fleshgod Apocalypse, from the same country, wrote the orchestral arrangements. Ward Records released the Japanese edition on 10 November 2023 as GQCS-91398, after the overseas edition of 20 October. Eleven tracks, about forty-three minutes.
