Ritual

Ritual is the latest studio album from Edge of Forever, the Italian band built around Alessandro Del Vecchio — a name melodic rock listeners know as a songwriter, producer and engineer — and it follows their previous record by under two years. The Native American concept that has shaped their recent work continues here: the story of twins, a boy and a girl, who are among the last two speakers of a language about to be forgotten, separated into different boarding schools and spending the rest of the record looking for each other. It deals with what was done to a minority and then goes looking for what comes out of that — pride, strength, and the satisfaction of being fully yourself — through writing that knows when to press and when to hold back. The second half is given over to "Ritual", a suite in seven parts. Marquee Inc. released the Japanese edition on 13 October 2023 as MICP-11824, adding one bonus track for fourteen in all.
