Dragonland's seventh studio album arrives on Scarlet Records, the Milan label that announced a multi-album deal with the Swedish band in December 2025. The group formed in Gothenburg in 1999; its previous studio record, The Power of the Nightstar, came out on AFM Records in 2022. Fredrik Nordström produced Prophecies and mixed and mastered it at Studio Fredman, and Pedro Sena, who has drawn sleeves for Amon Amarth and Kreator, supplied the cover art. The label say the record returns to material the band had handled earlier while reaching for subjects they had not used; the twelve tracks take in fantasy writing, ballads and fast power metal. The press release lists Jonas Heidgert (vocals), Jesse Lindskog (guitars), Elias Holmlid (keyboards), Anders Hammer (bass) and Johan Nunez (drums). Olof Mörck, long the band's other guitarist, left in July 2026, the band citing the demands of his work in Amaranthe; one song here was written by Mörck and Holmlid in 2013. Survival of Mankind went out as the first single on 31 July 2026. The closing track, Running In The Night, covers FM-84 and appears only on the CD and digital editions. Japan gets the European digipak import. Twelve songs.
