Songs for the Non-Existent is the second album by Disillusive Play, a melodic, progressive and symphonic metal band formed in Athens in 2014 and fronted by a woman; Queensrÿche, Conception, Marillion, King Crimson and Pendragon are all names they cite. They have opened for Gus G, Newman, La Tulipe Noire, The Silent Wedding and Meden Agan, and have played a good many Greek festivals, the Ladies of Metal Festival among them. Their first album, Open Arms, arrived in 2018 with Johnny Thermos of The Silent Wedding guesting on keyboards, and came out as modern metal with progressive elements folded in. Here the guests are Bob Katsionis, formerly of Firewind, on keyboards and Iliana on backing vocals. WormHoleDeath Japan released the Japanese-packaged import on 31 October 2023 as BITX-1279, after the original of 16 June. Eleven tracks, about fifty-two minutes.
